Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an attached office of the Department of Personnel and Training (DOPT) that consists of chairperson, two members and a secretary cum controller of examination. Along with that, his post is equivalent to the post of the Additional Secretary, Government of India. Moreover, the functions of the Staff Selection Commission come in force from the year 1999.
